made to protect a bird's egg. A woman's body creates something
like a nest. If the egg is fertilized it
goes into the nest where it
attaches and receives all of the
oxygen and nutrients it needs to
become a baby. If pregnancy does not happen the nest is swept away.
That is menstruation.
Every month the body prepares to
receive a fertilized egg. If it does
not get a fertilized egg then the
body gets rid of it and makes a fresh nest for the next time.
